This quarantine has been a killer for the sports world and for us sports junkies have been extremely deprived, but ESPN stepped in to save the day and tossed us a gem recently, a meaningless list that we could argue about.

This weekend, ESPN put out a series of lists that ranked each school’s history of success in college at each position during the BCS era (1998-2013). The winner of these rankings are known as “Quarterback University” or “Linebacker University” etc. A bragging right that many universities strive for, but only few can actually handle. Check out their QB list:

Quarterback U Rankings Via ESPN

Personally, as a fan of the USC Trojans, I have no problems with this list. The top choice is accurate therefore I didn’t even read or care for rankings 2-10. Let them fight over the scraps themselves. USC QBU. IN SHARPIE.

Here are some of the other position rankings that ESPN put out this weekend,

Once again, this list is accurate as USC is ranked #1, we won’t spend much time here and let spots 2-10 fight for he leftovers. USC WRU. IN SHARPIE.

Linebackers are next. USC came in at 4 and for some reason ESPN put Chris Claiborne over noted psychopath linebacker, Brian Cushing. This list is all sorts of fucked, but I won’t waste my time on a linebacker’s list. USC is getting a generous spot at #4. I’ll take it.

Up next probably he most touted U of them all, DBU. Many schools come for the this throne via twitter and the debate is endless. Just see for yourself:

LSU, FSU and Ohio State all have fair shots at the Defensive Back U crown. USC is ranked 7th here and once again, I’m not happy, but I’ll take it.

Alright lets get to the crime that ESPN committed this weekend. Take a look at the “Running Back U” rankings:

Just flat out, good ol’ fashioned disrespect. This has to be one of the SHITTIEST rankings list I’ve ever seen and whoever is responsible should be fired. Not even joking at this point. I mean it. Deadass fired. I’m sure ESPN’s going to have to unfortunately lay some people off due to COVID-19, but this guy just made the decision for them, he or she has catapulted themselves to the top of that list (no pun intended.)

To not include USC as a top 10 Running back school is simply criminal. Let me remind you of some of the greats that passed through Southern Cal from 1998-2013:

and the late great Joe McKnight (RIP)

These 4 alone cement USC as a top 2 RBU school and they’re not number two. Here’s how I’d fix this incompetent sorry ass list:

10. Oregon

LaMichael James, Johnathan Stewart and LeGarrette Blount

9. Texas

Ricky Williams, Cedric Benson and Jamaal Charles

8. Georgia

Knowshon Moreno, Todd Gurley and Sony Michel

7. LSU

Leonard Fournette, Kevin Faulk and Jacob Hester

6. Miami

Frank Gore, Willis McGahee and Edgerrin James

5. Oklahoma

Adrian Peterson, Demarco Murray and Joe Mixon

4. The Ohio State

Maurice Clarett, Ezekiel Elliott and J.K. Dobbins

3. Wisconsin

Ron Dayne, Melvin Gordon and Jonathan Taylor

2. Alabama

Let me know if you guys agree, disagree, love or hate my new Top 10 RBU rankings and of course, FIGHT ON!
