And just like that, the NFL returned. *Insert heart-eye emoji here*

I spent this past Sunday watching football with my friends and family, and for just a second everything felt right in the world.

You know, minus the global pandemic, social justice issues, and the fact that the West Coast is quite literally on fire.

Even if it was just for a day, I sat back, watched the sport I love, and forgot about life’s worries.

I love football.

But more importantly, I watched my team in primetime, get their first win.

1-0! WHOOOOOSE HOUSE?!

Let me begin by addressing the elephant in the room, the OPI call on on Dallas Cowboy WR Michael Gallup…

There are always going to be calls in the game that can be met with disagreement and controversy. In this case, the call was in my team’s favor. It won’t always be.

Overall, I was pumped on how my team showed up in Week 1.

As said by the GOAT Aaron Donald, there is room for improvement.

Jared Goff pleasantly surprised me, finishing the game 20 completions on 31 attempts and throwing for 275 yards.

I have been pretty vocal about not falling into the “In Goff we trust hype,” but Week 1 was a good start and I see some promise. Crossing my fingers it continues.

Malcolm Brown looked good at Running Back. Our running game looked better than it has in a while over all.

Even some of our rookies showed up and balled out.

Not bad for a sixth-round draft pick.

For Week 2 the Rams are up against the Philadelphia Eagles.

I did not really watch the Eagles vs Washington game in Week 1 but from what I have read, nothing to be impressed about.

Eagles QB Carson Wentz was sacked EIGHT times in last week’s game and now he is going up against Aaron Donald and a solid looking Rams defense.

Historically, the LA Rams have not played well against the Eagles. Losing the last 6 of the Rams vs Eagles match-ups.

Its a morning game, so the Goff vs Wentz match up is going to be bright and early.

Is 10am too early for a beer? Asking for a friend.
